Spring break activities at the Salem Public Library

Spring Break at Salem Public Library means movies, crafts, tech exploration, and more for children and families.

Friday Family Films: BFG (PG; 117 minutes; 2016) – 2 p.m. Friday, March 24 in Loucks Auditorium. Doors open at 1:45 p.m.

Garden Crafts (elementary-aged youth) – 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 28 in Anderson Rooms A&B. Activities include planting seeds and creating garden art.

Paperback Book Exchange (all ages) – 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 29 in Anderson Rooms A&B. Everyone is invited to refresh home libraries by bringing gently used books to exchange.

Drop-In Games and Crafts – 2-4 p.m. Thursday, March 30 in the Children’s Room. Families can drop in to the children’s area to enjoy board games, coloring pages, and a special craft.

LittleBit Maker Workshop (grades 2-5) – 3-4 p.m. Thursday, March 30 in Story Room A. This workshop enables kids to create inventions and work with complex electronics by simply snapping together magnetic modules. Space is limited.
