Salem Public Library to offer Summer Reading Clubs for all ages

Readers of all ages are invited to be part of Summer Reading Clubs at Salem Public Library, beginning June 6. Registrations are accepted online at www.salemlibrary.org or in person at the Main Library, 585 Liberty St. SE.

This year’s theme is “Build a Better World.” Club members birth-18 keep track of time spent reading or listening to books, magazines, or audio books. Reading minutes add up to chances to win incentives and prizes throughout the summer.

Adults fill BINGO cards with various activities and reading goals to earn a chance to win prizes.

A wide variety of activities for various ages, including craft programs, performances, movies, book discussions, and gaming sessions, are offered throughout the summer.

Complete details for each Summer Reading Club are available at www.salemlibrary.org and in the booklets given to participants as they sign up.

The Summer Reading Club, including the programs and activities, is free to the public because of the support of the Friends of Salem Public Library and many businesses and organizations throughout the community that donate prizes and other incentives.
